Case Study


Client situation: 

The internal strategy consultancy of a major international bank was in a phase of strong growth. However, despite high hiring criteria, brand awareness among students was relatively low. The goal of the project was to attract potential candidates for recruiting more effectively by optimizing the online channels accordingly.  


Our approach: 

The consulting team first compared the client's online presence with other consultancies and developed key research questions and candidate profiles together with the client. Using a questionnaire sent to 15 target universities, the team collected data from over 400 respondents, categorizing candidate profiles as well as their preferred recruiting channels, social media platforms, and preferences during their information search. The analysis results were discussed and validated with four experts from universities and corporate businesses to enrich the analysis with practical experience and the latest research findings. 

In the subsequent evaluation and interpretation of the study, conducted jointly with the HR experts, clear recommendations for action were made to specifically adapt the online presence. 


Results achieved:

Through this project, the client gained a more comprehensive insight into the job search preferences of students from diverse backgrounds. It highlighted which channels are preferred by specific profiles and what information convinces applicants in a job advertisement. Additionally, the most common reasons for abandoning an application were analyzed, enabling a significant simplification of the online application process.
