Connecting Talent. Driving Impact.

Foreword

Dear readers,

in the first half of 2026, FS-SC also remained true to itself: despite a challenging environment, we focused on what defines us – demanding projects, real practical relevance, and a strong community.

How we are evolving as an organization

New Board for 2026

At the beginning of the year, FS-SC elected a new executive board, which is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the initiative – from project acquisition and member development to corporate partnerships and internal processes as well as Finance & Legal. The individual departments are led by Aaron and Lisa (Project Office), Viviana and Tom (Marketing & Networks), Johann and Lara (Human Capital), Wickie and Tyler (Strategic Relations), Nils (Quality & Technology), and Jannik (Finance & Legal). Fleur and Jannis are taking over the management.

FS-SC Board and Team

Exceptional Commitment

With the new additions, we also bid farewell to XX members into the alumni circle – and look forward to continuing to accompany them as part of our community. Their paths show how diverse the journey after FS-SC can be: some are starting their Master's degrees, others are gaining practical experience in exciting internships, or have already secured permanent positions.

Digitization & AI as a Growth Area

For the second half of the year, we expect further growth – particularly in the areas of digitalization and artificial intelligence. We are systematically building up expertise in these fields; the first customer projects are already in the pipeline. In this way, we are positioning FS-SC not only as a reliable partner for traditional finance mandates, but also for companies that want to actively shape digital transformation.

DELIVER

Project Overview

63 projects in the first half of the year

With 55 projects and a clear focus on finance, FS-SC looks back on a strong first half of the year. In addition to ongoing long-term mandates from the previous year, we were able to win numerous new projects, especially at the beginning of the year – a clear sign of our clients' trust in our work and expertise.

Transaction advisory leads our project portfolio with 16 mandates. M&A, valuation, and sell-side processes are among the fields in which FS-SC benefits particularly strongly from the finance expertise of the Frankfurt School. This is followed by the implementation area with 12 projects: because while AI increasingly simplifies analysis, successful implementation in companies remains complex. Sales & marketing is also continuing to gain in importance in a cautious market environment.

1. Report "Regional Banks in Structural Change"

1. Report "Regional Banks in Structural Change"

How can regional banks reach Generation Z in the long term? In a candidate project, we analyzed young people's financial behavior, competition with neobanks, and digital expectations of modern financial service providers. Based on this, we derived concrete recommendations for action – from a better user experience and contemporary investment options to a stronger social media presence.

2. Pricing strategy for Enviotech

2. Pricing strategy for Enviotech

3. Validation of Market Entry – Leonard Koch

3. Validation of Market Entry – Leonard Koch

In another candidate project, we supported an FS-SC alumnus with market screening for his start-up: a software-based calculation solution for the construction industry. Using telephone interviews, pricing benchmarks, and value chain analyses, we validated key assumptions regarding the problem, solution, and market potential—thereby laying an important foundation for the planned rollout.

  1. February 2026

Kickoff

At the beginning of each semester, you can meet us both at our booth at the Community Life Fair and specifically at our Kick-Off. There, you will learn in detail what we do at FS-SC, how a project works, and how you can get involved. Of course, you can ask us all your questions here.
Also follow us on LinkedIn or Instagram to get the latest information about our application process.

02
  1. February 10 - February 21, 2026

Online application

On February 20 and 21, the FS ConsultingDays once again brought students together with leading management consultancies. In hands-on workshops, one-on-one interviews, and an evening get-together, participants were able to explore various consulting fields and build valuable networks. For the first time, firms with a specific focus on financial services were also present. We would like to thank all participating consultancies and look forward to next year.

03
  1. February 27 and 28, 2026

Recruiting Day

Our second general assembly was fully focused on Mergers & Acquisitions: the M&A department of DZ Bank was our guest, a long-standing partner with whom we already share several successful projects and close cooperation. Managing Director Martin Petsch, along with our active member Severin, who knows DZ Bank from his time as a working student, gave insights into daily project work and career entry opportunities at DZ Bank. We would like to thank DZ Bank for their visit and look forward to our continued collaboration.

Recruiting Day

Three days, five companies, one strong network.

The Graduation Journey went into its second round this year – and has now established itself as a permanent format in the FS-SC calendar. From April 22 to 24, we traveled to Munich and visited Tacto, Stern Stewart, Kearney, CIL Strategy Consultants, and Berylls by AlixPartners. In workshops, case studies, and open Q&A sessions, we gained insights into various consulting fields and career paths.

Particularly nice: At almost every company visit, we were welcomed by a familiar face from the FS-SC network – a strong sign of how sustainably our community connects us even beyond our studies. At our Alumni Dinner on the last evening, we were also delighted to welcome good friends from the alumni network.

03
  1. April 2026

Recruiting Day

On April 30th, our members had the opportunity to get to know Bain & Company better through insights into career paths, entry-level and further training opportunities, as well as an open Q&A session about starting a career and daily work life. The subsequent buffet provided time for personal conversations and networking with the consultants.

In the Deloitte Business Chemistry Workshop, participants explored different personality types, strengths, and working styles using a color model. Together, they worked out how different types can communicate and collaborate effectively to sustainably strengthen teamwork. A cocktail workshop and relaxed networking rounded off the evening.

From FS-SC to Trade Republic with Julian Collin

At our last general assembly, we welcomed Julian Collin, former FS-SC Managing Director and now Growth VP at Trade Republic, virtually as a special guest. Julian shared his journey: from the desire to found a company, through consulting internships and venture capital, to Trade Republic, where he accompanied the company from its early stages to its growth today. His advice: look for positions where you can really make a difference, even if it sometimes involves more risk.

Your path to FS-SC

Below you will find the dates and steps of our application phase.

Ski trip — FS-SC on the slopes

For the annual FS-SC ski trip, around 35 members and alumni headed to Saalbach-Hinterglemm from January 14th to 18th. In the mornings, with the weather at its best, the focus was on the slopes, and in the afternoons, we met up at the cabins for après-ski. To cap it all off, we wound down the days with a dinner together.

FS-SC Community Moment

Running Bar Tour

For the third time already, the Running Bar Tour took place this year. Members and alumni bar-hopped through Frankfurt in randomly drawn teams of two – with new groups, new conversations, and new contacts at every stop. Challenges between stops provided entertainment, while the grand finale ensured a successful end to the night.

FS-SC Community Moment

Summer Trip 2026

This year, FS-SC participated in the JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge once again: members ran together through downtown Frankfurt, some with full commitment and others in a relaxed team spirit, with the main focus being on having fun together. After crossing the finish line, we wrapped up the run together in great spirits.

Buddy Event: Bowling

To ensure new members feel welcome at FS-SC right from the start, every candidate is paired with a personal buddy. During buddy bowling, the pairs came together – focusing less on the score and more on getting to know each other and having fun. Later, the evening wound down with everyone watching football together.

Barry's Community Class

Even though many members are scattered across Germany during the summer for internships and projects, members and alumni come together for a weekend in Mainz. The program includes wakeboarding, a market breakfast, a covered wagon ride through the vineyards, and a joint dinner. A beautiful tradition that connects FS-SC even during the lecture-free period.

Even though many members are scattered across Germany during the summer for internships and projects, once again over 55 SClers – active members and alumni – came together for a weekend in Mainz. The program featured wakeboarding, a market breakfast, a covered wagon ride through the vineyards, and a dinner together. A wonderful tradition that keeps FS-SC connected even during the lecture-free period.
